Sultanate of Oman

The Sultanate of Oman is located in Western Asia in the southeastern quarter of the Arabian Peninsula. It is bordered to the north by the Gulf of Oman and the Strait of Hormuz, to the northwest by the United Arab Emirates, to the west by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to the south by Yemen.

Oman enjoys one of the most diverse environments in the Middle East with various tourist attractions and is particularly famous for adventure and cultural tourism. Salalah, the conference venue, is known for its stunning khareef (monsoon) season and beautiful landscapes.

The Sultanate of Oman takes pride in its many cultural elements and heritage sites that have been registered with international organizations concerned with cultural affairs. It is also proud of the international recognition of the scientific, social, and reformist impact of a number of Omani figures whose knowledge has benefited humanity.
